A newly born baby has been rescued after being thrown inside a hospital toilet by his mother at a Federal low cost housing estate in Bauchi state. .

According to reports, hospital workers were attracted by his cries and traced him to the toilet, where he was subsequently rescued. The identity of his mother remains unknown.

The baby has since been rescued, bathed, clothed and receiving medical attention at the hospital.
